Navitus Plasma Inc. is the exclusive licensee of the Westinghouse Plasma gasification technology in Ontario. With a team of experts supported by Westinghouse Plasma and the Bridgepoint Group Ltd., Navitus will develop, build, own and operate industry leading Energy from Waste (EfW) facilities in Ontario. These facilities will use the commercially proven Westinghouse Plasma technology and will directly result in a significant reduction of landfilling of waste in Ontario. Further, the facilities will provide reliable electricity into the Ontario power grid. Along with the 10 year exclusive license, Alter NRG, the parent company of Westinghouse Plasma, has turned over its Ontario project development pipeline to Navitus, including the cornerstone Dufferin EfW facility.

Ontario is ready for Energy From Waste

Waste disposal problems: Ontario landfills are filling up. Export of waste to Michigan and New York will likely be stopped or become cost prohibitive.

- Communities are considering EFW as an alternative to new or expanded landfills.

- The Ontario Power Authority has made long-term (20 year) power contracts available for the electricity from EfW plants.

- With the closing of coal plants in 2014, there will be a need for base-load power generation.  A Plasma EfW facility provides continuous power production
